Your Pet's Story or Bio
I adopted Pearl from AHS in 2016. She came to the shelter pregnant, had her pups, and when they were weaned and adopted out, it was Pearl's turn to find her furever home. She was treated for heartworms, and we brought her to her new home. She's now 14 years old! Pearl is intelligent, loyal, loving, and so wonderful. She still enjoys a very slow, daily walk to stop and smell the flowers. She sleeps by my side at night and waits for me daily at the window to come home from work. I make a calendar every year of her many photos for my daughter, who refers to Pearl as her "sister." Adopting Pearl changed her life and also mine. She has taught me how special the love of a dog can be. As my daughter often says, "She's perfect!"
