Annie came to the Atlanta Humane Society through DeKalb Animal Control -- a very sick 5 year old, unspayed, with an upper respiratory infection. According to my vet, she apparently had been used as a breeding dog and when she outlived her usefulness as a mom, was dumped at Animal Control where the Atlanta Humane Society picked her up. I've fostered for AHS for years and took her in. It was love at first site. Although she was very sick, she was a calm, obedient, loving, well-behaved dog that was already potty trained. After 10 years of fostering, I finally failed! I adopted Annie in February, 2022 and she has been the love of my life ever since. She charms my friends and house guests and, in my mind, is the Sweetest Dog in America!
