Cat's Story or Bio
We adopted Pippin (at left) from Purrfect Pals, as a kitten in 2013 (he is a Thorngren Fosters kitten). Pip is a smart, sweet snowshoe, who loves to play fetch with rattle mice and chew shoelaces. We knew our easygoing boy would get along well with a kitten (he is a great big brother to our buff tabby, Woody), but we had no idea how special such a relationship could be until we adopted little Emmylou from MEOW Rescue in Kirkland last December. She was part of the Country Music kittens seen on Christine's Kitten Room cam. And when we won a drawing to name her, we just had to adopt her, too! Since the moment we brought Emmy home, Pippin took it upon himself to parent her: bathing her, napping with her, playing with her, even letting her comfort nurse! As you can see, Emmy, in turn, adores Pippin. They are the best of friends. We are so thankful for the foster care programs at both shelters and the foster parents, who so graciously volunteer their time to raise well-adjusted kitties like Pip, Emmy, and Woody.
