Cat's Story or Bio
Jazzpurr and her peacock feather hunting face.
Jazz was a community cat living next to an auto repair business in El Monte, California, 5 weeks pregnant and carrying 5 kittens.
She was trapped by Fixnation, spayed (losing her 5 babies) and ear tipped. She was transported up to the Cat Adoption Team shelter in Sherwood, Oregon where I first met her in her kennel hiding in her tunnel bed.
She had already been adopted and returned once for being painfully shy. It was noted by the staff that Jazz seemed to interact with me in ways that she did not with anyone else. She would come out of hiding and seek pets whereas with most others she would hide or shut down.
I had been chosen.
I adopted her, changing her formal name to Jazzpurr. She’s is now my kitty and I wouldn't have it any other way.
She has a small following on Facebook consisting mostly of the shelter staff who fell in love with her where she is known as: Jazzpurr of the Northwest.
