About My Cat
Tao was a very shy stray cat when I first encountered him. If I made even the slightest move toward him he would dart away. After several weeks, and with the encouragement he got from another friendly stray, he got the courage to sniff my hand. I pet him gently and he started purring. Only three days later he jumped onto my lap and settled in for some petting and purring. The change was dramatic. I was able to crate him and take him to the local no-kill shelter where it was discovered that he was a former adoptee of that shelter. His registered owners didn’t respond to the shelter’s communications so he went back into the adoption pool where he was adopted into a new home shortly thereafter.
