Pet's Story
The sign says it all- almost. This beautiful boy had apparently been in several other homes before he came to be my 24-7 guy and soul buddy for life!
When we went to Ark Valley looking for a replacement to a special dog that had just gone to doggie heaven this large hunk of energy did his best to get my attention, and that, he did! He was the poster dog that year for an up and coming adoptathon yet we quickly snatched him away before hoards of people could come looking for one such handsome face. Originally named" Bach" we quickly re-named him....and the name "Re-Bach" (Reebok) was officially born.
For the last 11 years to earn his daily dog cookies, Reebok has been working as official greeter for our store in Salida - Fabulous Finds! (Hence the picture, taken soon after he was adopted)
His daily job is greeting customers with a smile and allowing children to smother him with kisses (or tug his tail a time or two.) He stands guard often in case he has to chase away any errant kitties that might find their way to our door; sadly though this has never happened, but he's a patient kind of a guy.
Having his own Facebook page helps him keep track of friends, troll for female cuties around the world, and stay up to date with all the Holiday times that those crazy animal costumes might find their way out of storage so he can take cover.
So many adventures we have had, so much love we have shared.
Now in his twilight years you can still find him down at Fab and still happily on duty there. But most days he's sleeping in his cozy corner and we can only imagine he is happily chasing those errant kitties in his dreams.
With his dog cookies earned, tummy full, and many adventures behind him he can honestly say he's one lucky dog for sure; and,- mom's best-est friend ever!
