Takoma was rescued on his last day in a high kill shelter in Southern California. I had him pulled by a friend who boarded him a few days, until I had a flight ready for him with pilotsnpaws- heading to Grand Junction, CO. That's how far the plane could get with the gas without landing to fill up.
I drive there to pick him up and was greeted by the most friendliest and stunning dog.
I wondered about how he ended up in southern CA.
On the way home we stopped on Vail Pass, where he undoubtedly took his first "snow bath"- what a joy to watch him roll in the white cold snow- he couldn't get enough.
Takoma is a great dog and we are glad we got that shelter alert (I network Rescue) that day to save his life.
