Esteban was a long term resident at ark valley. He spent over four years on the streets of Buena Vista until he was taken in by a person who worked at the Ark Valley. He was soon discovered to have feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and became a long term resident at ark valley. He was constantly fighting illness and was having a hard time finding someone to take him home. After four months at the shelter the staff was getting ready to take Esteban to a sanctuary in Utah when my fiancée at the time and I went in to look at the cats. She said that whatever cat was there the longest is the one that she wanted to adopt. After meeting Esteban and his quirky personality we took him home. Since his adoption Esteban has moved from BV to Salida then to Boulder. Now, Esteban is residing in the Denver area chiming in on conversations and asking for food whenever there are people around.
