Pet's Story/Bio
Kona's biological mom was a beautiful heeler rescue from a high kill shelter in New Mexico. Little did the rescue know that she was baking 3 puppies in that little body when she arrived in Colorado. Kona chose us as his Maw Maw and Paw Paw at an adoption event when he was just 8 weeks old. He simply reached out from within his little cage and tapped Paw Paw on his leg. It was love at first lick! In fact, his name comes from that first lick where Paw Paw said that he smelled like coffee; and the name Kona stuck. He is HIGH energy and loves everything about being in the mountains in Colorado! Maw Maw and Paw Paw are the lucky ones!!
