Pet's Story/Bio
Luna is a 5 year old American Bulldog and was a rescue. She had a good start in life with her original mom, but her boyfriend's dog and Luna did not get along. Reluctantly, she had to find Luna a new home and believed she had found a good one for her. Unfortunately Lunas new mom didn't keep her and she was bounced around between owners and badly abused. My friend rescued her from the situation she was in, but he couldn't keep her and was desperately looking for a new mom for her. When I met Luna, I really didn't believe I could help her because she was so depressed and ill. I truly believe she wanted to die. But I decided to give it a shot. After weeks of patience, understanding and love, Luna began to respond to affection and praise. She was eating again and finally began raising her tail up from between her legs. That was 3 years ago and we've both came a long way since. Even though she still has some insecurities, her confidence has grown tremendously. She's not even afraid to bark anymore! She's my best friend and I love her so much. She's been with me through some of the best and most difficult times in life and I don't know where I'd be without her.
