A little about me...Hi, I am JB and I want to tell you my story. I was born on 1/15/23 in Middleburg, VA and rescued by the Middleburg Humane Foundation. There were nice humans there, but they were more used to dogs and horses than cats. They thought I was a Calico and named me Callie. Calicos are white cats with splotches of color. As you can see from my photo, I am a black cat with a few splotches of orange on my right paw, backside and tummy. I am actually a Tortie. Torties are noted for their "Tortitude", which is "Cattatude" on steroids. It is a real condition. They sent me to AWLA because they felt my chances for adoption would be better at AWLA. That is where I was adopted last year. I am named after a black cat, Jainabeast, who crossed the rainbow bridge last June. She was 12 years old, adopted from AWLA, and raised money for the animals there, because it was her job to give back to the community. Since I am named after her, it is now my duty to give back to the community. I hope that my human friends will help me do that and live up to my duty. Thank you, JB
If your animal is from a specific animal shelter/rescue organization, let us know what organization. If they're an Animal Welfare League of Alexandria alum, their photo will have a special badge in the printed calendar!Animal Welfare League of Alexandria
