A little about me...
I adopted Bugsy from Animal Welfare League of Alexandria in 2022. He walked out to go for a walk and rubbed my leg and I said I will take him. At 8 years old, he was a shelter surrender to a Florida shelter that partners with AWLA. Bugsy's elderly owner had died and poor Bugsy was found in a cage many days after his owner died. Bugsy tried to break out of the cage and broke his back teeth. He was an emotional mess but very sweet and physically had growth on his eye and missing fur as well as rashes on his legs, chest and stomach.
He took a year to totally trust anyone. He now is emotionally and physically healed. He wines when he wants something and sounds like baby chewbaacca in a Star Wars movie. He jumps on my lap and does not leave my side. He is in his 4 ever home with Pixie a 8year old morkie stray at adoption also in 2022 from AWLA, a black cat Angel from AWLA in 2022 and a 13 yr old shi tzu . They all get along. Bugsy will always need skin medications and medicated baths . He is also allergic to cats so is on allergy meds made for him since Angel is also mine 4 ever..
I am not sure who rescued who since in December of 2021, my yorkie Snickers and Poo Bear my black and white shi tzu died of different diseases.
