Chekhov "Checky Weckles" is a 2-year-old mystery wrapped in fluff, adopted from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria just under a year ago. With his thoughtful eyes, sharp teeth, and serious face, he’s often mistaken for a dog with a mysterious past. But behind the quiet exterior is a heart bursting with love.

Once too shy to play, it took him three months to learn fetch—but now he's the life of the local dog park, charming pups and humans alike. At home in Kingstowne with his two moms and his best brother (Cruz the Cat), Chekhov has blossomed into a goofy, affectionate sweetheart who reminds us every day that love and patience can rewrite any story.
