Meet Charlotte: A tiny Yorkshire Terrier with a mighty legacy. Though I didn’t know it at the time, Charlotte came from a puppy mill nearly 20 years ago, and her arrival marked the beginning of my lifelong journey to end that cruel industry and advocate for shelter pet adoption. Charlotte was equal parts career woman and lady of leisure. She came to work every day, held court in meetings from her tote bag, and perfected the art of sunbathing between adventures. Whether strutting through city streets or jet-setting across the world, she brought elegance, spirit, and purpose to every step of her journey.
