A little about me...Baxter was adopted from Lu’s Labs in 2019. He had a rough beginning to his life, including having heartworm and later we found, being shot. But being mistreated early on hasn’t slowed him down! He is full of love and has a touch of crazy when it comes to swimming or tennis balls. Tennis ball is life.
In addition to chasing balls, Baxter’s superpower is his sense of smell. He can sniff out that old tennis ball that’s been buried in the ground for years, or that piece of jerky you left on the counter
Baxter is a “big boy”, which is usually what anyone says the first time they see him. It’s said so often, he responds to it. He is abnormally tall for a Labrador, but according to the DNA test he is 100% lab (and a good boy). Baxter does not understand how large he is and tries to go through the tiniest spaces (including through cat doors) but has found he can get to most things by brute force. Including into many trash cans despite all the barriers. “Baxter Proofing” has become a term adopted into our family.
Baxter has had two cat sisters that he adores (even if they don’t share the sentiment). His current sister is Sweetie Pie (adopted from AWLA in 2024). They’re still figuring it out, but have bonded over a shared love of treats.
Baxter hasn’t met you yet, but he would love some pets, a treat, and maybe a vote.
