A little about me...
Meet Fiona! We adopted her from AWLA in October 2017 (all we know is she came from Texas after Hurricane Harvey). She was the sunshine our house needed after losing our elderly cat. She quickly settled into the rhythms of the home and we loved her quirky spirit--carrying a watermelon toy around and singing, joining us at dinner by sitting at the table in the chair across from us, and always at our heels, seeking a warm lap or a treat! In 2019, tragedy struck as a cancerous tumor was discovered on her leg and we had to amputate it to save her life. We were so worried her personality would be affected, but after a few tough weeks she bounced back and assumed the sweet, sassy cat we love so much. From her journey from the shelter to her forever home with us through a cancer scare that cost her her leg, she remains such an amazing spirit and I am so glad she is ours. We love our sweet Fiona so very much.
