A little about me...
First, we would like to thank all those who have donated to this wonderful cause, both to Beau and to all the other beloved animals in this “competition.”
Beau is a rescue dog in a difference sense; in her case, she rescued us, her parents. We lost our daughter, Alex, to brain cancer several years ago at age 19. Alex loved the Viola Lawson shelter and wanted to volunteer there as she loved all animals and often donated towels, blankets and toys to the shelter... Our previous dog, Belle, stood by her day and night, but when she finally breathed her last breath at 18 1/2 years old, shortly after Alex had passed away, we knew we had to have another dog to help fill the void. Beau has done that and more. She has brought such joy to us each and every day, as she does to everyone she meets. She has truly never met a stranger and is devastated if someone does not love her as much as she is willing to love them. So, while she did not have to be rescued, she HAS rescued us and everyone else who meets her, for which we are all so grateful every single day.
