A little about me...
Tomás arrived at AWLA as a stray after being safely brought in by an Animal Control Officer. During intake, he quickly showed his friendly personality after escaping the carrier he had been transported in, he climbed right onto a my shoulder and happily stayed there while his enclosure was being prepared.

When he arrived, Tomás was dehydrated, significantly underweight, had damaged and broken feathers, a slightly overgrown beak, and a few other minor medical concerns. Our family took him into as a foster to receive the care he needed, and it didn’t take long for him to win over the entire family.

As Tomás neared the end of his recovery, we realized that we couldn’t imagine life without him. What started as a temporary stay became a forever home, and we officially adopted him. Today, Tomás is thriving, loved, and more than a little spoiled living life as the self-proclaimed King of the House.
