A little about me...
Bear is a Pandemic dog who I adopted in 2020. He was 2 years old and had been living in a home that hoarded dogs. When I began to foster him, it was obvious that he craved the attention he had never received, had no training, and was a 70-pound wild man. He had no idea how to be a regular dog; he did not know what treats were or how to play with toys and was afraid of the water. With nothing else to do during the pandemic we took multiple walks every day, and we spent a lot of time in the yard playing “enrichment” games and training. With patience, a clicker, “high value” treats and a dog eager to learn and please, Bear is now a sweet, smart, funny, well behaved, “couch potato” who cannot contain his enthusiasm whenever he meets someone. He is my constant companion!
