Hello there!

My name is Lily Rose Austin, and I’m about one and a half years old. I may be tiny enough to fit in your hands, but don’t let my size fool you—I have the heart of a great explorer!

Every morning I peek my little nose out of my cozy house. I sniff the air, twitch my whiskers, and wonder…

“What adventure will today bring?”

One of my favorite things in the whole world is my Barbie boat.

The moment I climb aboard, I’m no longer an ordinary hamster.

I’m Captain Lily!

Sometimes I’m sailing across the Sparkling Strawberry Sea. Other days I’m searching for the Magical Veggie Pie Islands or discovering Cookie Cove, where little hamster cookies grow on bushes instead of leaves. I’ve even spotted dolphins wearing tiny pink bows…well…at least in my imagination!

When I return from my pretend voyage, it’s time for training.

Whoosh!

I jump onto my blue wheel and run faster than the wind. I imagine I’m racing through enchanted forests, climbing giant mountains, and escaping silly pirates who are trying to steal my strawberries.

After my warm-up comes my obstacle course.

Over the bridge.
Under the tunnel.
Around the blocks.
Leap!
Duck!
Zoom!

Every challenge makes me stronger, braver, and just a little faster.

Of course, adventures make a hamster hungry.

Luckily, I have excellent taste.

I LOVE juicy strawberries.

I LOVE crunchy little hamster cookies.

And veggie pies?

Oh my whiskers…

Those are my favorite!

But do you know what makes me happier than treats?

My bestie.

Her name is Aleah, and she is 10 years old.

The moment I hear her voice, my ears perk up.

“Is that my bestie?”

I poke my little nose out of my house.
Then my whole head.
Then I wiggle…
and wiggle…
and wiggle some more until I squeeze myself out to say hello.

Sometimes she laughs because I hurry so fast.

Maybe it’s because I missed her.

Or…

maybe I’m hoping she brought me a tiny snack.

Probably both!

Aleah tells me everything.

She tells me about school.

She tells me about cheer.

She tells me about gymnastics.

She tells me about funny things that happened with her friends.

She tells me about all the exciting adventures that come with being 10 years old.

I may not say many words back, but I listen with my whole little hamster heart.

When she’s happy, I feel happy.

When she’s excited, I get excited too.

Sometimes I think she smiles a little bigger after talking to me.

That makes me feel like the luckiest hamster in the whole world.

As the day comes to an end, the room gets quiet.

The lights turn off.

I know exactly what comes next.

One last run on my blue wheel.

Round and round…

Round and round…

Just enough to stretch my tiny legs after another wonderful day.

Then I climb back into my little house.

I burrow deep into my soft paper bedding until I’m wrapped up like a tiny fuzzy burrito.

It’s warm.
It’s cozy.
It’s perfect.

Before I close my eyes, I think about my family.

They love me.

I love them.

Tomorrow we’ll have another adventure together.

And who knows…

Maybe tomorrow my Barbie boat will sail all the way to the Rainbow Strawberry Kingdom.

I’ll save a seat for my bestie, Aleah.

After all…

Every great explorer needs a best friend. 🐹💕

Just as the first rays of sunshine begin to peek through the window, my tiny eyes blink open.

I stretch my little paws…

Twitch my whiskers…

And wiggle my nose.

A brand-new day has begun!

That means it’s time to sail my Barbie boat to magical lands, race on my blue wheel, conquer obstacle courses, nibble on strawberries, hamster cookies, and veggie pies, and most importantly…

Spend time with my bestie, Aleah.

I can’t wait to hear all about her newest adventures and make some of my own.

Now it’s morning…

And I’m going to do it all over again.
And again.
And again.

For the rest of my little tiny hamster 🐹 life.

Because every single day is another chance for adventure, love, laughter, and making memories with the family I love so very much.
