We rescued Blanche from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington in the summer of 2021. Though she came to us as an older stray, with diagnoses of Cushing’s Disease and heart failure, she quickly proved that age and ailments couldn’t dim her spirit.

Blanche didn’t just join our home — she took command of it. With grace, grit, and a gentle authority, she became General Blanche, leading her fur siblings with quiet dignity and earning the love and admiration of all who knew her.

She brought warmth, strength, and a sense of peace into our lives. Despite her health challenges, she lived each day with resilience and heart, reminding us of the power of love and second chances.

We cherished every moment with her, and her memory continues to guide and comfort us. She was more than a rescue — she was a gift.
