Rowlf was the sweetest, quietest gentleman from the minute we adopted him from the Chatham County shelter. But he really comes alive outside on his walks! His signature move is army crawling on grass followed by a joyous flip and rolling around on his back. He loves to meet and make friends with other dogs and very patient with everyone who wants to pet him... especially at dog friendly establishments. Although Rowlf is silent most the time, a fire truck siren will elicit a hearty howl. Rowlf is not fond of us going out without him and likes to rearrange floor rugs and put our shoes and slippers on the couch while we are away, often in proper pairs in the correct left and right positions (what a smart pup!) He's a unique mix of multiple breeds that brings a lot of smiles to people he meets.

I’m royalty because…
Well, for starters...my human parents surname is Royal and my instagram account is @RowlfisRoyal! And although I may be considered a mutt by some, I've acquired a taste for the finest of NC's oysters, Yak cheese bones from the Himalayas and wild Alaskan salmon (especially the bits that fall off Dad's grill.) Like the best of royals, I believe in benevolence and goodwill toward others...even cats.
