Tilly is a 12-year-old Lab-Basset mix with the nose of a detective and the heart of pure sunshine. Her most impressive trick? She can locate sandwich scraps anywhere we go- parks, sidewalks, parking lots… nowhere is safe from her highly trained sniffer. Her greatest achievement to date: discovering a perfectly preserved half of a Jimmy John’s sandwich like buried treasure.
But beyond her elite scavenging skills, Tilly is cuddly, playful, and gives the very best kisses. At 12 years old, she still carries the spirit of a puppy and has somehow managed to be happy every single day of her life.
Tilly reminds me daily to find joy in the little things - a sunny spot on the floor, a favorite toy, a surprise snack. She doesn’t just fetch sandwiches; she fetches happiness wherever she goes.

I am royalty because I have ruled my kingdom with a wagging tail and a brave heart for 12 years. I stood beside my mom through her fiercest health battles, offering kisses as medicine and cuddles as armor. When I had my own emergency spleen removal, I faced it like a queen- smiling, tail wagging, reminding everyone that courage can be soft and joyful at the same time. A true royal doesn’t just wear a crown… she carries hope wherever she goes.
