Patches was more than a pet—she was family. For seventeen beautiful years, she filled our lives with love, loyalty, laughter, and constant companionship. Patches was incredibly smart and loved learning new tricks. She could sit, stay, roll over, play dead, shake, high five, spin in circles, stand tall, and jump small obstacles with pride. She even recognized people’s names and special words like food, dinner, dessert, cheese, and tuna, her absolute favorites. Just hearing “cheese” made her eyes sparkle with excitement. Everyone who met Patches fell in love with her soulful, expressive eyes that could melt your heart instantly.

I’m royalty because…
I often called her “Mommy’s girl,” “Baby,” and of course, “Princess,” because that’s exactly what she was. She would sit proudly on her favorite chair or couch like it was her throne, watching over her kingdom with gentle wisdom and grace. She will forever be our sweet girl, our little princess, and the royalty of our hearts.
