Luke Gibson, our Golden Retriever, co-authored a book with the title, “Me and My Person”. It can be found for sale on Amazon which shows Luke Gibson as the author of the book and a picture of him on the cover.
Luke and his person started their day with howling together.
He was sensitive to certain sounds. When a delivery truck backed up with the high pitched BEEP BEEP sound it sent him to an AWFUL place that only three pills prescribed by his vet could bring him back from.
He also had an intense sensitivity to odors. He could have been one of those dogs who detected truffles buried in the ground near trees. He loved to smell and to dig.
He loved playing games. When his person wasn’t looking he’d go into their bedroom and grab a sock or a shoe. He would exchange it for a treat.

I’m royalty because…
This is in memory of Luke who loved his persons unconditionally and protected them day and night. He was a gentle giant weighing 120 pounds. He loved every person he met and every dog he met. He was a strong, high energy, endearing and handsome Golden Retriever.
His servant leader attitude, warmth and thick luxurious red coat made him highly sought after and esteemed by all, just like royalty. A close human neighbor friend wrote a love poem to Luke in memory of him. He now has a special place in Heaven. We miss him!
