Baby Shark is a 4 year old chihuahua mix rescued from a shelter in rural Georgia by Badass Animal Rescue in 2021. He had a congenital heart defect that was repaired at the University of Pennsylvania and at a diminutive 8 pounds at the time, he was the smallest dog to undergo successful cardiac catheterization there. I fostered him thinking there was no way I’d foster fail because I’m a large dog person. But Sharky trotted into my home, bonded with my 2 older dogs (who weighed a combined 90 pounds more than him), stole my heart and made it clear he was part of my crew. He carries a big, sassy but sweet spirit in his teeny tiny body!
