Doogie was transferred to the Idaho Humane Society in 2015 from another local shelter, hoping they would be able to help with an old injury to his front, left leg. After x-rays were taken, it was determined that the best option was amputation. He went to foster with an IHS employee, and immediately hit it off with the other critters in the home. It was quickly discovered that Doogie would be a “foster failure” and was right where he was intended to be!
Doogie is a “no bad days” type of guy and never lets his lack of a limb slow him down. He is frequently told he is the happiest dog anyone has ever met. His favorite pastimes are exploring the Boise foothills, lounging on the couch watching Netflix, hanging out with his dog buddies, and fostering kittens.
