Gia was rescued from an abusive situation and brought to the shelter while her owner awaited charges and custody could be decided. I took her in a foster since she could not be adopted out and long story short she turned out to be an absolute delight. She came to me at the perfect time and though it wasn't my intention to adopt, she fit perfectly with my lifestyle and is truly a very special dog. We unfortunately have BSL in Montreal and so we are working hard together to show people how wonderful these dogs really are and why BSL doesn't work. Even with all the stress and cost of our bylaw, she is 100% worth it.
