Lily arrived at Berkeley Animal Care Services having very recently given birth to a litter of puppies. She was so skinny, malnourished and dehydrated she could barely stand. Now, having gained 30% of her body weight and in great health, she's been my enthusiastic helper in fostering many more dogs from Bacs. Whether they're puppies or seniors, large or small breeds, she loves them all. Donner, the black and white male in this photo, was one of her favorite foster brothers.
