This photo was taken of Cane shortly after he arrived at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. Cane had a rough life before being rescued; he arrived at the shelter wounded and skinny. But this big lug was a softie with a heart of gold. He quickly became a favorite of shelter staff and volunteers until he finally found the perfect new home for him.
