Your Pet's Story
Axel's story is much like many of the other rescue animals. He was captured in Louisiana and brought to Wisconsin! His litter of 10 was exposed to parvo and only 4 of the ten survived. Luckily for us "Carson" now Axel was one of them. Axel came to live with us in October 2013 after we had suffered a painful loss of our 13 yr old lab. Our children were sure we needs some cheer in our house again and convinced us to visit the shelter. That day we encountered Axel and his sister. Not ready to commit we left with our children begging! The next day again they convinced me to visit the satellite shelter at PetSmart. Much to our surprise when we walked around there was Axel. My children were sure this was fate! He was meant to be ours! Again mom and dad were just not ready. However we did put him on hold which I knew meant he was coming home the next day. We were blessed with the most loving compassionate puppy ever! He welcomes every visitor with a hug and a kiss. I know we rescued him but he also rescued our family.
