Your Pet's Story
Maggie became part of the family when she was 8 months old. Her original owner did not want her anymore. My sister-in-law helped with rescuing dogs and she sent an email looking for a new owner. I was nervous about becoming a first time pet owner, but I did it. Maggie came home with me, but dashed out a slow closing door and took off. The neighbors helped stop traffic as I chased her up and down the street and through yards. I was wondering what I got myself into.
Toby became part of the family when he was approximately 1 year old. He was a stray in Indiana that was eventually shipped up to the BAHS. As we were leaving the BAHS, he got out of his collar and ran away. I thought to myself, "I just paid $200 bucks to set a stray dog free again." He eventually ran back to the doors of BAHS.
I am so fortunate that I was able to get both of them back safely because what they have added to my life is immeasurable. They mean the world to me. Thank you Kay and thank you BAHS.
