Our sweet one year old German Shepard/Aussie mix is a very energetic and happy go lucky pup. When we first got him we were informed that he has a level 5 heart murmur. My significant other and I had to act fast to make sure he wouldn’t pass away. We traveled for nearly 3 hours to the University of Illinois to get him checked out. He has a condition called aortic stenosis which is life threatening and he can pass at really any moment. At 6 months old he was able to have a procedure to help alleviate the pressure on his heart. He’s still going strong and living life like it’s his last day on earth. We’re hoping that he’s with us for the long run!
