I would make the best ever spokesdog for Bark Brew beer because....
Hi, my name is Yogi and would be over”jawed” about being spokesdog for Bark Brew beer. Why should you choose me? Well I have a story to tell about dogs and people that takes me from New Hampshire, through Brooklyn, New Jersey and this year to my home in the great city of Columbia South Carolina.; a story about the spirit that dogs and people can bring to enterprises like CCBC.

You see I was saved from a puppy mill in New Hampshire by my first real human-parents Harrison and Juliet of Brooklyn NY. My earliest years were scary and my rescue journey was harrowing. I was fostered by a wonderful Boston Terrier rescue group out of Boston, but I was still unsure of where I would sleep from night to night. In fact, My human-given name was changed 3 times from Buster to Frankie and finally to Yogi. (I would tell you my real dog-given name but you wouldn’t be able to pronounce it). It was during this troubled puppyhood that I decided to become the world’s greatest support dog. I helped my human-parents through their earliest years as a couple but my services became really needed this year, when they decided to move to Australia . With tearful eyes they told me that I could not fly with them them because of my heart condition. So I joined the home of my human-grandparents, Stan and Claudia Green in New Jersey and boy do they need my support!

They decided to retire to South Carolina where they had met many years ago during the time of President Jimmy Carter who I am told was very kind to animals. But I digress.

Everyday I would find my human-grandparents exhausted by the move, a move that I could relate to because of my own journey. So each day I jumped on their bed to wake them up with my own special smile: tongue out and blue eye wide open. (Did I forget to mention that I have one blue eye and one brown eye? In fact, my Instagram handle is “old blue eye. As for my tongue, well, I rarely can fit it into my Terrier mouth, so i just let it hang out.). Anytime I see them falter, I jump onto the furniture and immediately encourage them to relax and if at all possible to pet me!

My human-grandpa often talks to me about the 10,000 years that people and dogs have been friends and that this has always been a mutual relationship. I am proud of my fellow Canines who serve as service dogs in PAAL for carrying on this 10,000 year tradition. People of all ages and abilities can benefit from my species’ support.

I have entered this contest to represent the CCBC to support my new community of Columbia and to raise money for my pals at PAALS.

Thank you,
Yogi
