Pet's Story or Bio
Denver and Frisbee are both from Barks and Meows rescue. Denver on the right was sadly thrown out of a moving car in Kentucky on the highway and brought to a basset rescue. He became blind in his right eye due to that trauma. He was 2 when I adopted him and he has the best personality. The sweetest, cuddliest, and happiest boy ever now. When on walks Denver is the funniest. After marking everything and anything he sniffs he has to scratch and kick back his feet! 🤣It’s his signature move.
Frisbee came to me last year after my boy Kringles also from Barks and Meows passed away from peri-anal cancer. Charmaine and Dennis mentioned he needed me and I him. They were right. He was a blessing. He was found feral on the streets of Kentucky. Frisbee has been the funniest, sweetest addition to our family and is the best brother to Denver. When Frisbee goes on walks he as well has a signature move, he crawls on the grass when he doesn’t want to listen. He drags his back legs and then starts rolling over, grabs his leash in his mouth and just pretends he doesn’t hear you say, “Let’s go Frisbee!” It is the cutest thing ever and I appreciate his energy every day.
My niece Lucy absolutely LOVES these two and snuggles them all the time when she visits. She doesn’t come to see me anymore she comes to see the dogs! I love how much these two bring people together. The neighbourhood adores these guys and it has helped their anxiety, and skittish ways out tremendously. They are part of our family and community now and we can’t imagine life without them. We are so grateful to Barks and Meows for everything you do for so many dogs and families!
