Copper was listed for sale on Craigslist for $50,000 with no photo when he was just 18 months old. I inquired, saying, “I know bassets are awesome dogs, but how much do you REALLY want for him?” He was free to a good home (although vet bills in the first couple months were close to $1,000). So we drove for a little over an hour to meet his most recent owner, who had only had him for a little over a month. He is now my heart dog, & has been w/ us for almost 5 years.
