One of many young hoodlums who congregate in our back yard looking for cheap thrills...and salmon. This young show-off was not afraid of me or my camera, as I wandered out (in pajamas no less) to capture the moment. In fact, he seemed quite proud of his feathers and I'm sure he ruffled them up just for me.
Our home, on a bluff overlooking Grouse Island and Discovery passage, is an amazing view point for all kinds of bird life but none are quite as captivating the Bald Eagles that fish, mate and nest nearby.
