Nature has always been a source of inspiration. I love the depth and richness of colours, the intricacy of the patterns. I've always said, the eye is the ultimate lens and the imagination--the greatest filter. It's hard to capture a picture that accurately represents the depth, breadth, and beauty of the world as we see it in our minds. When this dragonfly settled for a rest, it was so close that I could see the intricate mesh of the wings. I didn't know how accurately the picture would represent what I saw, or if my subject would fly away if I came closer. It obliged me. The result was one of those rare moments that to me truly represented the delicate beauty of the natural world.
