Great Bear Rainforest

Description of Photo
This photo was taken in the Great Bear Rainforest on a rainy (more like a downpour) afternoon in a estuary. This mother grizzly (with 3 baby cubs-not in the photograph) was attempting to fish salmon along the shoreline of the river. This photo was one of many photographs taken that day, but I chose this one in particular to show off her dark and light fur colour , with the greenery in the background. This is a protected area, and we were lucky enough to have her near us (still a safe distance away) with no other boats around. She is beautiful and what a wonderful animal to be part of our species in BC.
