One early winter morning we were alerted to Stellar blue jays swarming and skreetching in the forest. Being a curious bird lover I put on my boots and grabbed my camera and ventured into the forest to find the source causing all of this commotion. I was surprised to see a tiny Northern Pygmy Owl perched on top of the snow starring back at me while feasting on a wild bird. While our eyes locked the forest became quiet again.................
