I have always wanted to take up wildlife photography as a hobby for my upcoming retirement. I had just purchased my very first quality camera and wanted to experiment taking a series of action photos for the first time. I took this photo on the shores of Wood Lake just as the geese lifted off the water, if you look closely, you can see the water droplets coming off their feathers. This is just one in a series of photos of the geese as they lifted off. I still haven't managed to retire but these photos reinforced my desire to take up wildlife photography, I plan to do much more when I actually do retire.
