Description of Photo
Just over the fence from my back yard, in Woodhaven Nature Conservancy, stands a very large, very old black cottonwood tree. The flickers drilled a nice new hole in it this spring and had a successful brood of 3 youngsters. I was very fortunate to have a view of their nesting cavity while still being far enough away as to not disturb them.
