After monitoring an eagle in flight for about half an hour in Pipers Lagoon Park (Nanaimo, BC,) it finally came to a rest upon a rock within my lense range. It felt incredibly surreal, I was able to capture a few frames of this magnificent creature before it took to the skies again.
