This is the rare Blond Raccoon found on the shores of Departure Bay at low tide when they come out to feed. There is a family of them with other raccoons who are partially blond, the colouring varying from pure blond to cinnamon . They only feed on the north end of the island where the BC Ferries come into Departure Bay .
