I teach children after school art and one day as this young 5 year old, who was prone to telling exaggerated stories for fun, rushed in and told me there was an owl in a tree outside. I asked him ' are you sure'. I then clued in to hearing the crows out side who were in a frenzy and knew he probably was right, so grabbed my camera and sure enough found this lovely bird sitting quietly on this limb. He calmly looked right at me as if he was posing. I took this photo which to me caught the moment perfectly. He was a gorgeous bird. He took off soon after with the crows chasing after him.
As an artist I had to paint him, using this photo as well.
