Abby (formerly known as Peri) was one of a group of 28 hoarded cats and kittens rescued by the Squamish Valley BCSPCA. At the time of her rescue she was around two years old and pregnant with what was thought to be her second litter.

In January, 2013 on a trip to see the eagles at Brackendale, I talked my husband into stopping at the Squamish BCSPCA where we met this little black and white beauty. We spent some time with her before going into a second room to see some other cats. When we eventually came out of that room, Abby was sitting by the door waiting for us. She had been trying to get through the door to come after us. She came home with us that day and is now living the good life with our dog Hayley and our older cat Seamus.

I don't know how she learned it but Abby is the most affectionate little fur ball I've ever met. She chirps a greeting and comes running every time we come home and wakes me up with head butts every morning. And she's got the cute cat moves all worked out. After three years with her, we still can't believe how lucky we were to find her.
