"Jake the Lion" we called him after he was shaved for the summer. He was very hot with his beautiful golden locks so thick and soft. The birds would love making their nest from his shedding hair. His mane being so fine would blown in the wind. Oh and those ears like someone had used a crimping tool on them but it was all natural!

Jake was born at the S.P.C.A. in North Vancouver a litter of only three. He was the only one left when I went in and of course I walked out with him. Never a whimper for his mommy he just went with the flow. Talk about a vocabulary he would know exactly what you were talking about so smart.
We figured he was Chow Chow and Great Pyrenees the tongue and extra claw told us that. He had the good life in Langley on two and a half acres then the move to ten acres lots of area to run on. Weighing in at a whopping 145 pounds he would meander around but when he need to run he had the speed for short jaunts.

Jake soon had a brother "Cash" a Golden Retriever to look after. This job he took seriously poor Cash was not allowed to do anything without Jakes permission. Of course Cash wanted to swim in the pool being a retriever and all but Jake thought it unsafe to would walk between Cash and the pool so he could not go in it was hilarious to watch. He loved to eat watermelon and corn on the cob.

Jake was the perfect son with the heart of a lion!
