Bio
After the heartbreak of losing my cat of 12 years I decided I was once again ready to get a new companion. My fiancée and I knew we wanted to adopt from the BCSPCA so I searched and searched online and was put in touch with a woman who was fostering four kittens that were soon to be sent back to the SPCA in Trail for adoption. She sent me pictures of the four kittens and Seiko immediately caught my eye, he was so animated in his photographs and the woman fostering him said he was quite the character and very snuggly and playful. She informed me that Seiko and his three siblings and mother had been abandoned on the side of the road in a box and that shortly after Seiko's mother passed away, I was devastated for them and wanted to adopt them all, but in my heart I knew he was the little boy for me, I contacted the SPCA in Trail. They sent me the paperwork to see if we'd be the right fit for Seiko, I was so nervous waiting to get approved as I wanted this little guy so bad. I was elated when I received the news that Seiko could be part of our family and that I could go pick him up. When I held him for the first time I remember thinking he's sooo tiny and perfect. The women working at the Trail SPCA were so helpful and took such pride in their work with the animals, Seiko went through so much that day with getting his final shots and an ID chip put in and he had a long drive home with me. Seiko's adoption name was Widget and my fiancée and I decided to call him Seiko as my fiancée is half Japanese and Seiko means sincere child in Japanese, Seiko is a Lynx Point Siamese and we love his unique markings and his striking blue eyes and his playful/goofy character. Seiko also has a big sister named Cinder who is our 12 year old black lab and a big brother named Maddox who is our 7 year old lab X, they love him very much and they love to play together and snuggle. Our family would like to commend the BCSPCA on all the great work they do and for bringing Seiko into our lives.
