Bio
My Daughter Paige took this photo of our wonderful Nash, enjoying his yard.
Nash was a great dog, unfortunately we had to say goodbye to him this past December. We always said he lived life like he was shot out of a canon! Always going, always so full of life, always ready to chase a ball. Even on his last day with us, we played and played ball with Nash, knowing it would be his last day to play. Nash was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy at the age of 8.5 and unfortunately it was a very quick progression. We did not want Nash to ever experience life with limitations, so we choose to say goodbye to him when we saw his mobility changing rather rapidly. He was able to play ball, be with his Family and be happy, until his very last day. I don't think this dog ever experienced a bad day, he was a very happy boy. He was loving, and incredibly loyal to his people.
Although Nash had a shorter life than we would've hoped for, he had a quality of life that many dogs may not of had. He was very loved by his Family. He also loved his Manx cat, Angus. Those two were such amazing buddies. So much so that only two and a half weeks after Nash died Angus also crossed the rainbow bridge. And although our Family was devastated to lose both of our amazing pets so close together, there was some comfort in knowing that the two of them were together. Probably giving each other a hard time or grooming each other somewhere else. It seemed fitting that the two of them would end up together.
Although Nash left our lives too soon. One thing is for sure, he gave his family total and complete love and devotion. To be loved by a dog you know what it means to be completely loved unconditionally. And for that I must thank my Friend Nash. Till we meet again my beautiful boy! <3
