Meet Sweetness. She was brought into a local mainland rescue about 1.5 years ago. She was neglected, emaciated, sick and quite obviously abused. She had a large mat of fur shaved from her that was about the size of another cat. She was also having troubles breathing and was diagnosed with asthma. At a later date, she was anesthetized and the veterinarian attempted to spay her. She unfortunately had a very serious reaction to the anaesthetic and resulted in her essentially dying, which the vet thankfully revived her! She still flinches when first touched but then really enjoys being pet and loved! She has come a long way, and now permanently resides with myself along her with 3 furry dog siblings!
